Welcome to Berhampur City College
The glory and credence of Berhampur City College signifies a historic movement of academic
excellence, exploring a phantasmagoria of intellectual celebration. The college memorizes the nascent
origin of its establishment during the academic session 1978-79. Initially, it was established in the name
of Berhampur Tutorial College in the year 1978 temporarily functioned in K.C Town High School. Later
on the college got its new name and captioned as “BERHAMPUR CITY COLLEGE” formally inaugurated
on 20 th January 1979 by former Hon’ble Minister for Urban Development, Dr. Jhasaketan Sahu who had
declared a financial aid of Rupees One Lakh from the octroi fund of Berhampur Municipality which was
pledged as security deposit of the college for affiliation.
Berhampur City College has emerged as a premier educational institution and it is catering the
educational needs of the students across the society. It is situated in the outskirt of Berhampur City in a
